THE BASICS
What is an epoxy flake floor?
An epoxy flake floor is a concrete coating with a colored epoxy base, a full layer of decorative flake and a clear top coat. The flake adds color and texture and hides dirt and small marks. We seal every one with polyaspartic so it holds up in the Texas sun.
REAL JOB, REAL CREW
Watch the flake go down
We broadcast 100% of the flake over a wet 100% solids epoxy base, so the color runs edge to edge with no thin spots. We oversee every single job and we don't sub anything out.
- Full broadcast over the whole floor
- Loose flake removed after the base cures
- Sealed with polyaspartic
HOW IT IS BUILT
Four layers that make a flake floor last
Here is what goes down on your slab, in order. Scroll to take it apart.Tap a layer to see what it does.
Diamond-ground concrete
We grind the slab so the coating has something to bond to, and we repair minor to moderate cracks first.
- Moisture tested before and after the grind
100% solids epoxy base
A thick, tinted epoxy bonds to the concrete and carries the whole system. A moisture vapor barrier goes down first only if your slab needs one.
- 100% solids, no thin spots
Full broadcast flake
Flake goes into the wet base until it is fully covered. Then we remove the loose excess.
- Color, texture and grip
Polyaspartic top coat
A clear coat seals the flake, resists UV and scratches, and makes the floor easy to wipe clean.
- Clear and UV stable
One floor. Four layers.
We oversee every single job and we don't sub anything out. You get the price in writing before we start.

Epoxy flake floor questions, answered
Straight answers on price, grip and timing, so you know what to expect before you call.
How long does an epoxy flake floor last?
With proper prep and a polyaspartic top coat, a flake floor holds up to daily use for years. We back our work with a 5-year workmanship warranty, and the top coat is UV stable for the Texas sun.
Is an epoxy flake floor slippery?
No. The flake layer adds texture, so it grips better than smooth epoxy. If the area stays wet, tell us at your estimate and we will recommend the right finish.
Will flake hide cracks and stains?
Flake hides stains, discoloration and small surface flaws very well. We fill minor to moderate cracks before coating at no charge, so they are repaired and not just covered. We do not repair foundation cracks.
Can you install flake on a patio or driveway?
Yes. We coat patios, walkways and driveways in flake. Outdoor concrete needs a UV-stable top coat, which is why we finish every flake floor with polyaspartic. We check the slab at your free estimate first.
What flake colors are available?
There are many blends, from neutral grays and tans to bold blues like Orbit blue. We bring samples to your free estimate so you can see and feel them in person.
How much does an epoxy flake floor cost in Conroe?
Epoxy flake floors start from $5 per square foot with a $1,250 minimum. A 2 car garage of 350 to 420 square feet runs about $1,750 to $2,100. You get the exact price in writing before we start.
How long does installation take?
Most 1 and 2 car garages take about 2 days. Larger spaces and heavy repair work can take longer, and we confirm the timeline at your estimate.
What is the difference between flake and metallic epoxy?
Flake uses colored chips for a textured, speckled look and is sealed with polyaspartic. Metallic uses pigments that swirl into a smooth, marbled finish. See our metallic epoxy floors for details.
